Dis-Chem web site has regular "techincal issues" with use of gift cards etc - very annoying

I have been given a gift card from Dis-Chem however I can't use it because every time I go to the online website I get a notification "We are experiencing technical issues with gift card payments. Please use an alternative payment method". What's the point of issuing gift cards if it's not possible to use them? This is not a one time occurrence, there seem to be regular "technical issues" with Dis-Chem. They need to get themselves sorted out.
