Dis-Chem Retail Cross Wilgeheuwel and customer service since last manager left

I am a regular visitor to Dis-Chem pharmacy in Retail Crossing shopping centre, Wilgeheuwel which was always wonderfully managed by manager Neel. Great customer service and no ques. Lately I, and other customers, have had terrible service, namely -

1. Only one person serving at the chronic and script collection counter with sometimes delays of up to half an hour or more. There seems to be continual mess ups with scripts, leaving this one person taking time to try and sort out and find scripts. Yesterday I waited for half an hour in a que of four to simply request my chronic medication. I eventually grabbed a form myself, filled it in and left it on the counter. I wasn't notified it was ready (which I used to be in the past) so went in again today and again - one person at the counter and a que of three people, two of which left in anger. Again, there was a problem with a customer's collection, leaving others waiting for service. I then tried to get hold of a manager - asking no less than four staff members for the manager. He was apparently - a) busy on the phone b) on lunch c)couldn't find him x 2 (not sure which excuse was true).

2. The queues for payment always run efficiently but on two occasions over the past few weeks, there have been ladies at the tills with CLOSED signs whilst only two tellers were serving a very long que. This was again the case yesterday and I once again called for a manager and a young chap who was on the phone, got the other tills opened after which the lines moved very quickly. Apparently it was because the staff 'were on lunch'.

3. There is always a very long and slow moving que at the dispensary on any time or day of the week. Why is it that when queuing at the Clearwater or Cradlestone branches, one only has to wait a maximum of ten minutes. One often sees sick and weak people, people with sick children and the elderly waiting for up to 45 minutes to get their medication!

After supporting this branch since it opened, I will now only go to the Clearwater and Cradlestone branches where the service is quick and efficient and the managers are always on hand to ensure the branch is well managed.
