Dis-Chem Loyalty Cards

Tried to get a new loyalty card at two branches only to be told sorry, out of stock. Mailed their HO who did reply stating that they have an issue with Baby City and Dischem cards not being interchangeable and new cards will be released some time in the future....what happens in the interim??
