DIS-CHEM IMPRESSED BUT DISAPPOINTED

DIS-CHEM Impressed/Disappointed To say the least, one expects to be treated with respect and helpful assistance from provisional tellers especially when shopping at DIS-CHEM Pharmacies especially when you are old you need a bit more patience. I am referring to DIS-CHEM at Ferndale on Republic Mall in Randburg, yesterday Tuesday 2nd March 2021, 4:50 Pm my wife and I did some shopping at this specific Pharmacy, we were looking for a Shampoo brand which we could not found, the sales assistance that assists as said she can find the shampoo neither and so ask to wait while she will call the manager. The manager tried to help us find this item, he even phoned around to find out where we can find the Shampoo, I must compliment him, a real gentleman and very professional he knows how to deal with people, here we were serviced by two staff members, the sales assistance and the manager and walked away very impressed. My wife receives her medicine from this chemist every month and she regularly buys all our other needs from this store. When we go to pay we were called to teller 3, firstly the reception was very cold from this lady, and she half-heartedly greets us. Maybe she was tired but after she adds all the items to the till and we pay with our debit card, she said with all the people around us that our purchase was a decline, I said ok maybe I overspend because I picked up my Mercedes from the service garage and that was quite expensive and maybe overspend my daily limit, we ask her to try again but she stared at us, I said ok I will go and draw cash from A ATM, I am not that young anymore and my Diabetes was killing my feet, I found an ATM away from DIS-CHEM and was able to draw R600 and had no problem, I give the cash to my wife. But they took back all your items and only keep the prescription, and was moved to the last till, and left only with the medicine. If she only would Have tried again I am sure it would work, I am a certified Information Technology engineer for 40 years and the computer would indicate that I am over my daily limit There are over 600000 people unemployed which can offer a better customer service. I am impressed and disappointed at the same time when this whole thing started the supervisor I take it was standing there but quickly disappeared. I am very negative and disappointed, Northgate is another option to take our business to, This specific casher should dean with the public. I was senior management at the largest retail company, and to us customer service was taken seriously. Kind regards
