Dis-Chem Gap cover offer - accept blindly by phone or else no cover!!!

A Dis-Chem Gap cover advert came up on my FB so I followed the link and filled in the details. Ten minutes later a gentleman phoned me and said the Gap cover would cost R254 per month. He was telling me what it would cover, but I said I don't enter into any business deals by phone - he had my e-mail address and would he please send me the document so that I could study it, before making a commitment. Rather curtly he told me that if I didn't want to conduct business by phone, he can't offer me the Gap cover for R254 per month, and the call ended. Is that the way business is conducted nowadays????
