DIS-CHEM BREDELL FALSE ADVERTISING

I just went to Dischem in Bredell.

A lady from the make up department assisted me with the Maybelline products.

They have a few of the Maybelline gift boxes on the shelf where it clearly states: " Spend over R320 on any Maybelline products and receive this gift box for free".

So I spent over R320 and first of all they charged me for this box which was almost R400. I didn't know this box came with a price.

I assume it was the store manager who called the lady in her office who assisted me. She clearly said to me I can get this gift box for free if I spend over R320. She came out of the office and said she thought the promotion was still valid and unfortunately I'm not allowed to take the gift box for free anymore.

They all were laughing after I said this is false advertising.

I honestly don't think this review will make any difference but my question is....why are these boxes still on the shelves?

This is not fair.
