Dis-chem are you doing so badly that you must delete points your customers have earned?

I went onto the dis-chem site and accessed my account. I saw that my point balance had been reduced by about 75 %.. I immediately telephoned them thinking that perhaps there had been ***** on the account. I was told basically tough, your points had expired. I stated that it was ludicrous that points earned had expired, and anyway how would I know that they had to be used by a particular date. I was told that I had been sent communication stating they would expire. I stated that made no sense whatsoever as if had received that communication I would have immediately used the points as would anyone else with an IQ above double figures. I was then informed that they would go into the situation and I should have a reply within 2 weeks. Really Dis-chem, 2 weeks!
