Customer Services Made Me Feel Stupid

I purchased Revlon eye shadow at Dischem, Woodlands Mall. When arriving home, I saw that the one colour was cracked. I searched on the web to see if make-up can be returned, but only found that sanitary products, earrings, underwear, socks, shaving blades and surgical items cannot be returned. I returned to the shop to exchange the product. I did not open the product or tamper with the packaging sticker. The lady assiting me at the customer services counter informed me that the product cannot be exchanged, as I would nothave purchased it being broken to start with, so I must have dropped it.

I am not satisfied with the answer, and especially with the way she made me feel - stupid. She made me feel as if it is my fault and problem. I have used Revlon eye shadow for years now, so I never check the product in detail in the store as I have never found Revlon eye shadow broken when arriving home.

On average my husband and I spend R7,000 per month at this Dis-Chem branch. I will not be returing to this branch in the future, if I decide to even shop at Dis-Chem again!

The slogan is true - "Pharmasists who care". Because they really do care. But the staff in other departments could not care less.
