Below avarage mediocrity

I went to dischem wonder park branch to buy make-up on the 21st of December 2018, I asked for assistance in order to choose makeup that is suitable for my skin tone, I was thereby assisted by the manager of the makeup department, I specifically asked her if what she chose was correct and she verified it but when I went home the make up was not suitable for me. So I went back today(29/12/2018) so I can exchange the make up I bought when I got there I was told by Frank that he can't exchange the other two products because I used them. How will I know that the makeup is suitable for my skin if I don't use it? How will the makeup be in its original packaging without using? The worst thing I was told to come back when the lady who assisted is available, so I have to drive back to the branch where I didn't get any assistance, I didn't choose the make up for myself I was specifically told those products were suitable
