Beauty Department - let me down

I am absolutely shocked by my experience this morning. I had an appointment with the beautician for 9am this morning, this particular branch opens at 8:30am. I was stuck in traffic due to bad weather and so 15min before my appointment I called in to let them know I was running late and if there was someone else scheduled for just after me, I should maybe postpone as I didn't want to throw all the appointment out because I'm running late - only to be told that the Beautician wasn't even at work, she was off sick. Now don't get me wrong, people get sick and I totally understand but there is a Beauty Manager, a Customer Consultant and a Store Manager - you cannot tell me that one of them didn't think to call her appointments and re-schedule, her diary was there with my number in it (and yes I did confirm that the diary was there on the counter)!!<br> I have a soft spot for Dis-Chem as I worked for the company for a while and am truly disappointed in my experience.<br>
