Bad service from Dischem

Hi There, when you have some issues with Dis-chem, it can be, unfortunately, quite unpleasant. And, if you think you could bring forward your problems and address it with the CEO i.e. owner of the Company, you are really ‘dreaming’ and in for a nasty surprise! Unlike many other Companies, where the owner is more than willing to listen to a customer’s complaint, NOT so with Dis-chem, absolutely sadly to say!!! Having said that, let me try to explain that in ‘short and sweet’, if I manage to do so. Yesterday I phoned Dis-chem, usual story, ‘we are in-undated with calls, but your call is important to us’, etc etc.. When finally somebody answered, I asked to be put through to dispensary, but, before the lady put me through, I gave her my contact number, to call me back, in case we get cut off, as it is usually the case, and has happened so many times before! How many times have I complaint about that, to no avail, has anything been done about that, not a chance!!! Anyway, what did I say, she put me through and I get cut off again, but, I thought this time she has my contact number and waited for her to call me back – well, no such luck and no call back and I was now really p….off! After approx. 30 minutes I phoned a lady, working there and her name is Charmaine, I have her cell number. She answered, when she heard it was me, she immediately said to me that she will phone the store manager and tell him to get the necessary person to call me back, and that, despite her being at home and not at work. The lady is and has always been extremely helpful, when at the store, thank you Charmaine, you are an angel from heaven!!! She then phoned me back and told me that she had requested Hugh Van der Merve (I think is his surname) store manager, to get Michelle (also one of the ladies I often deal with) and equally very helpful, to phone me back!! Well, I don’t know what the problem was, whether this Hugh had passed on the message or not. More than one hour had passed and not to trouble anyone else again, I phoned the head office and spoke to a lady by the name of Grace. Not being happy at all about the whole scenario, I told her, that I now would like to speak to Mr IvanSaltzman, who is the owner of the Company (I had a few other things I wanted to tell him about, which were long over due) and she just told me profusely and in short, the owner does not speak to anyone, I will put you through to my supervisor, she said. I told her equally in short that I do NOT want to speak to her supervisor but to Mr Saltzman. Again she refused and told me now the third time that the owner does not speak to anyone, and that is, when I just lost it. I said to her, your boss, Mr Saltzman, does not feel the need to actually listen to his customers and try to address a problem, but he is more than willing and has no problem in taking their money!!! I told her that Dis-chem is so absolutely despicable, and that obviously includes your boss, after all, ALL these clients out there are “putting bread on to his table, not the other way around” and, because of all these customers the man enjoys having a business, and he cannot even spare a moment to listen to these very same customers, how disgraceful is that!!!!! I think I have tried my utmost, non stop running around from pillar to post to find a manager for certain problems to be addressed, to no avail, and now even trying to let the big boss know and again, to no avail, what more can a person do except go and take your hard-earned money somewhere else, where you might be more appreciated, hopefully!!! And, to top it all up, Dis-chem is also no longer the so reasonable-priced store, to make you run there for every little item you might find elsewhere – just a thought! After having supported Dis-chem for so many years, it is almost heart breaking to learn about the despicable attitude of certain people!!! Hope you guys out there have better luck, wish you well and stay safe with this terrible pandemic, God bless. Kind regards, Rosalie Zubrinic
