BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

<p>On the 1 June 2016 I purchased vitamins from DIS-CHEM located in Rosebank Mall. The brand name that this complaint relates too is Efamol Active Memory 50 Plus. On 2 June 2016 I want to customer service to advise them that I purchase these vitamins for my Kids aged 6 and 9 years of age, however was not comfortable giving these pills to my kids as the information pamphlet did not specify if this product was suitable for children . When I approached the receptionist at customer service on the 2 June 2016. I explained to her why I wanted to exchange the product for a brand that clearly specified that was suitable for kids. She explained that Dis-chem's policy states that they do not exchange medication. So I said to her the this product does not state that its not suitable for kids. HER RESPONCE WAS "I AM A RECEPTIONIST AND I CAN TELL U THIS PRODUCT IS FOR AGES 50 AND OLDER. WOW!. I was furious at her responce she them called the service manager to deal as she could see that I was angry. The manager explained that why medication cannot be exchanged. I assumed that the 50 plus as specified on the packaging was part of the name of the product. I dont work in the medical field and felt belittle by her responce. We all dont know everything. I work the financial industry and understand how important customer service is.</p> <p>This is the wording from the insert </p> <p>"Suggested Daily Intake</p> <p>Take 1-2 capsules per day. Take after food with water.If taking this product for the first time, double the dosage (2 capsules per day) during the first 12 weeks. This higher initial daily intake is recommended to help optimize the body’s store of important nutrients."</p> <p> </p>
