Baby bag drama

<p>was so excited to learn about the baby bag on offer at Dis-Chem and after a park run I went to the Dis-Chem in Canal Walk to find out more. I was told I needed to have the loyalty card, spend R300 or more to qualify and they would notify me that my registration for the baby bag was successful. They also confirmed that I would be notified when my baby bag was ready for collection. It should be closer to my third trimester, they said. I was satisfied with this information and the wait began.</p> <p> </p> <p>The wait didn’t end as I entered my third trimester and though, ok, may I would receive it the next day or the next day….Until I went to the Dis-Chem in the Liberty Promenade only to be told that my details were never registered! They then went on to register my details and I started waiting for the promised SMS…I visited Canal Walk on New Year’s day and it was too difficult to walk to the Dis-Chem store so I decided to call the store first to make sure that my bag is there before I walk all the way. This time I was told that I am registered however; I don’t qualify because I need to spend at least R650.00 AND use the registered nurse at the store?!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>I cannot accept this as these were not the conditions communicated to me when I initially signed up for this! I’m so close to giving birth and do not think that I’ve been treated fairly. I realise it’s “just a bag” but I literally spent over the required R300.00 on the day JUST to get this bag! Now I’m you’re trying to get me to spend double the initial amount AND to make me use services I DO NOT REQUIRE?!</p> <p> </p> <p>The assistant who “helped” me on the phone was so arrogant and had no intention of listening to me- simply telling me to pay and pay or not get the bag.</p> <p> </p> <p>Totally disgusted Dis-Chem!</p> <p> </p>
