****** at Discerm pharmacy Brooklyn & Lynwood

Last week, I went to Brooklyn Dis-Chem to pick up my repeat prescription, which I first received in March. The prescription was for a 6-month supply, but I only collected the medication once, as it was a facial cream that I don't use every day. This has been my usual approach since 2015.

When I spoke with Rosemary, the pharmacist who assisted me, she mentioned that my prescription had expired. I explained that I had only collected it once, but she said it was about the time frames, not just the number of repeats. I asked her to contact the doctor to send a new prescription, but she told me that it wasn't her job. She then began yelling and shouting at me, saying she didn't have time for me.

This was the second time I received such treatment from a white female client assistant at Dis-Chem. I've noticed that when I'm assisted by a black person, they always find ways to help me, but the white pharmacists at Dis-Chem don't. I asked to speak to the manager, who apologized and explained that if the pharmacy had all the necessary ingredients, she would have assisted me, but she didn't care at the time.
