accused for allegedly shopliffting

2 weeks back my mother 2kids and I decided to do a bit of shopping. Our last stop was dis-chem after proceeding to the till to pay, I asked my mom if she would pay I would reimburse her when we got home I picked up the bags and proceeded to the exit with my two kids.

looking behind me I noticed they stopped my mom asking her for the slip. naturally, I returned back to see what the hold-up was. I found the slip in the grocery bag. after a closer look, I noticed my mom had not scanned one of the items.

we were at this point treated like ********s they detained us for two hours analyzing the video footage. I asked to speak with the manager as one of my kids has a mental disability and I have a mother who is 65 years of age. I respectfully asked the manager named Celest to make it clear what is happening, yes the item was not scanned but we did not come to ***** I explained I was with my kids and mom. what happened to customer service the customer is always right, we were not even given the chance to pay for the item that was not scanned. The manager called the police and I was arrested for shoplifting at the time I asked the manager what is going on. Her reply was we waiting for the police they will come and make a decision. the police came and said the manager has the last say and she decided to press shoplifting charges. My kids cried as I was taken away. That manager should be ashamed of herself she left my kids with a memory of their dad being arrested due to a mistake.

To the Manager in Kenilworth centre named Celeste god does not sleep I had to pay for an attorney and the prosecutor had to come out as the rules have been changed. the bail money came out of my own pocket the lawyer fees came out of my own pocket. You are a disgusting *** what you have done is made your road dark. when something really bad happens to you and trust me you will remember the day you had a father arrested and traumatising kids. A real manager would have given the customer the benefit of the incident due to a kid who has autism and my mother who is 65 years old. Celest you do not deserve the job of a manager you are piece of **** that does not care for old people or kids. I drive an Audi that my mother had to ask family to drive my car away when we arrived I had enough money to buy that item ten times . I hope your work colleagues see the **** you are.
