A breath of fresh air...

Us South Africans easily complain about bad service. We don't usually compliment the good service we receive. On Sunday, I had to go and collect medicine over the counter. It was in the afternoon after 16:00 and I had no choice but to go to our nearby hospital, where there is an after hours pharmacy. It was not a Dischem. The queue was eventually going out of the door and it appeared that this particular pharmacy is aware that it's got a monopoly and so what. There were 3 pharmacists on duty but they all appeared to be on a "go slow"... People were grumbling about this as I sat in the long queue - I was fortunate to get in and get a seat... Yesterday, Monday, I had to go to Dischem in Norwood Mall to fill a prescription. What a pleasantly different experience. There was also quite a queue when I got there, yet this queue moved quickly. I was sent to probably the most friendly Pharmacist I have ever met, I think her name is Angela. She was a breath of fresh air - it actually highlighted just how bad the service of the previous day was. Dischem - well done - you made my day! Angela, you made me smile - keep up the good work! Dischem - Angela is a keeper!
