Waste of time, do not ever take dischem health insurance
I took this medical insurance in August and I have been turned down for treatment because this insurance says we went in too late. My mum slipped on the 24th evening and we didnt know what was really happening because my mum wasn't even talking straight. we got a private ambulance to come check her on the 25th they said dehydration. Have her a drip for pain and said she would get better but she didnt, she got worse, we then had to take her to chatsmed Garden Hospital trauma via an ambulance but got turned down by dischem to cover this fall as it was too late to bring her.i had to pay cash as my mum was so bad and unmovable.

03 Feb 2026, 09:05 i have still not been assisted by Dis-Chem health insurance, i have had to reverse the premium debit order to get attention from them, the very next day i received an email stating the debit order didn't go through, but not a single response regarding the issues i have addressed. they were short staffed and then the automatic response comes stating 3 to 5 working days, LOL. my query is since December 2025.
