Trying to get glasses - like trying to get blood from a stone

Nearly a full month ago (27th July) I got my eyes tested. The optometrist submitted the eye test, got a response email with reference, but no authorisation. I called, there was no record of it on my account. My optometrist resubmitted, got a reference, I called again, there was no record on my account. I got the reference number from the optometrist, called AGAIN and they found it. Authorisation was sent, my optometrist submitted the invoice, and we’re now being told it was rejected because the original submission wasn’t sent in time from the 27th of July.

This is a nightmare. I can see maybe a meter in front of me, and they’re telling me it can take up to 2 weeks to sort out.

Bruh.
