Terrible experience for elderly Parkinson patient

I want to share a terrible experience it feels like elderly folk are being done in by the plan. It was investigated by Centriq, a response back with reading the policy wording. Please stay away from them, hold onto to your pennies. A 75 year old patient was experiencing issues and was taken to the Dischem network doctor who referred them to N1 city hospital with a authorization letter. She was never referred to a state hospital. The patient was booked in was booked into N1 city hospital, with( 30k claim ) indicated on authorization doc. The patient thank goodness was only in for one day. The family called to check and was told everything is settled by Dischem. A week later the bills start streaming in with letters of demand. Take note a 75 year old Parkinson's patient. Your network doctor diagnosed a medical emergency after tests were done the hospital does not see the same ???? UTI they state. If the patient was informed initially surely they would not be in this predicament of thousands to pay. Yet the finding is in favour of the med insurance denying payment . How cruel and cold can a company be??? You mislead elderly ill people. Please please stay away from Dischem med insurance they will take your premiums and only help if you are declared dead. Dont be fooled by their sweet talking consultants all lies. DISCHEM/KAELO - This will now go to ombudsman and social / media platforms.
