Dischem Insurance ( NOT IF YOU SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR LIFE)Arwyd Hospital

One of the biggest decisions you make in life is about your Health care. In good faith I as a pensioner took Dischem Insurance as what I believed was there to assist me when I needed them the most. My BP reached almost 190 on 8th November. I became scared, battled to breath, became extremely tired my left arm got pins and needles. My partner became overwhelmed too and pushed a ambulance service on an app he pays around R59 per month for. The ambulance got lost. Tried calling my doctor rooms. They were closed. Imagine u nearly 62... scared thinking heart attack or stroke. I had already called Dischem Insurance prior and got an authorisation to go see my GP. I also got from the call agent what procedure to follow if I needed to be admitted. Never ever declined. My doctor calls me twice and checked on me making suggestions for me to try prior. However by the evening of the 8th I was not able to continue in my opinion without help, I thought I was going to either have a heart attack or stroke. My partner rushes me to Arwyd Hospital, fantastic service. He goes to the attending assistance and hands over my medical information. On entrance I ask for them to call my GP who practices at Arwyd Hospital, I trust her with my life. My partner does too, they contact her. Dischem Insurance Health Care, is called 4 times no answer by Arwyd Hospital staff. 4 different numbers. This is documented on my file. Then they keep getting cut off when trying to obtain authorisation. Note this is all documented on my file. Times etc.... my claim is rejected. It goes from one excuse to another... the best ones are emailed and states... NOTE.... the agent who I called neither said yes or no.. what a manipulating of words. Tell me what is it then if not yes or no? MAYBE ??????you are advised what procedure to follow after asking AM I COVERED IF I NEED TO BE ADMITTED. THERE WAS NOT A NO.. I was instructed that if my doctor thought it necessary. And I was to go via casualties. Now on the 8th of November around 7.30 to 8pm give or take. My doctors phone at her office just rang. My call log shows this. So what was I suppose to do? No idea what's wrong with me. Feeling absolutely scared fearing for my life. My partner makes the call to get me to a hospital. The Arwyd Hospital staff were amazing. On the other hand my Health Insurance was not. Every excuse was emailed declining the bill. I was also informed that I was suppose to speak to a Case Manager. Now tell me when you call in as a client, who's responsibility is it to transfer the call to a case Manager if he or she is not qualified to assist. The emails with excuses is manipulating and totally unacceptable with no valued reasons for declining my health care. Dischem Health Insurance reviews speaks for itself. Health care starts here.... NO IT DOES NOT. It's a service not for anyone that fears for their life. If I had gone to the doctor and she admitted me via casualties what difference was there to what I did??? Only that my doctors rooms was closed she was not available. Everything else was done by me and attending staff of Arwyd Hospital. The only ones that did not do anything in my favour was Dischem Health Insurance. They made a decision after the fact leaving me in debt as a pensioner.
