Dis-Chem Health ignoring urgent emergency claim

Dis-Chem Health rejected my wife’s emergency hospitalisation claim based on incorrect information, stating it was for “jaundice over a few days,” when it was in fact an emergency admission at Life St George Hospital. The doctors’ reports clearly confirm this was a medical emergency.

I have formally appealed and provided the medical reports, yet Dis-Chem Health has now been silent for over three days with no feedback, no update, and no urgency.

When a family is dealing with a medical emergency, delays and incorrect decisions are unacceptable and cause unnecessary stress and financial uncer*****y.

I am still waiting for Dis-Chem Health to properly review this matter and apply their own policy correctly.

At this point, I cannot recommend Dis-Chem Health based on how this case has been handled.
