Why does Directline Holdings PTY LTD have my personal information? Is this not a contravention of the POPI Act?

Does POPI law applies to this company? I received a call from another company saying they are doing the consumer survey and when i ask where did she get my info she mentioned Directline Holdings is the primary source of my information. I have never had any dealing with this company but they have my information, why?
