Shoddy service by FNB/Digital Planet

I placed an order for an XBox with FNB on the 11/12/19 in the evening, then received confirmation of the order No FNB730859 from both FNB and Digital Planet , and a message that the order would be delivered the next day.

On the 12/12/19 in the morning I received a text message from RAM confirming the impending delivery, an hour later another sms from FNB from which apologised for the delay in the delivery and now informing me that the delivery would be made in the next two days.

Same afternoon I now receive another sms of a failed delivery attempt because I was not available, when in actual fact I was home bound all day long, they never made the trip they were just creating a paper trail through text messages to build evidence of a failed delivery attempt.I wasted money on calls made to Digital Planet which are never answered but one listens to endless music. I even sent an email to *** which was promptly responded to ,saying I would receive a call in an hours’ time from one of their agents. It never happened.

On the 13/12/19 ,same drill, sms about the impending delivery blah, blah, blah. In the afternoon , sms of another failed delivery attempt when I had been home bound for the whole week and the gate was wide open. Calls to their offices went unanswered as usual.

I should have left for my holiday destination on the 12/12/19 which has been paid for.

On the 17/12/19 I then receive another sms in the morning of an impending delivery that as usual doesn’t happen but then later is presented as another failed delivery attempt to create a paper trail based on deceit and lies. This morning I then receive an sms informing me about the cancellation of my order.

The reality is that companies like Digital Planet epitomises everything that is wrong in this country, poor service delivery combined with lies to cover the inept service provided to customers. In their ineptness they are aided by companies like FNB who enter into contract with customers on certain services but then are dumped into entities like Digital Planet and RAM.

I have previously bought my devices from FNB,I think it was the last time I procured any device from FNB, the poor service one has received make a mockery of their slogan ‘How can we help’

In actual fact having been an FNB customer for 27 years ,maybe it’s about time one looks at better alternatives offered by other banks.
