Digital Planet

In Feb/Mar 2026 I ordered a laptop from FNB connect and was supp**** with the incorrect device. After much frustration and time, my contract was cancelled. I then purchased another laptop which arrived sometime in March 2026.

On 15 of June 2026, the new "premium" laptop that I had purchased just refused to turn on. I called digital multiple times over the next few days to have the device picked up. This process was extremely frustrating!

The laptop was eventually picked up on or about 26 June. I had to make calls on almost a daily basis since then to find out what was wrong with the laptop. I was at some point notified that the motherboard has a problem.

The laptop has been with digital planet since then and they are not able to give me an ETA on the repairs as they are waiting for the replacement parts. I am a breadwinner and have not been able to work efficiently as the laptop I am currently using does not suit my specific needs. I will also be debited at the end of July for a device that is not in my possession.

Given that they are not able to provide me with an ETA on the repairs on the machine, i requested a replacement of the machine as the device has a built-in SSD and changing the motherboard will be the same as providing me with a new machine which I would assume would be in stock as its still being sold.

I was contacted and it was said that the replacement request had been denied.

The service I have received from this company is for a lack of a better word, ****.

Digital Planet, your logistics department is terrible, your sales team are unable to deliver the correct items to customers and your repair department seem to be asleep.

How long should I wait to have this resolved???
