Took my iPhone 6 in to check if it qualified for the battery replacement program that Apple has on offer. Phone was tested by Digicape and I was told I qualify and would be notified when to bring the phone in for the new battery to be installed as they had to order the stock.
Took the phone in about a week later when was called to do so. Phone sat with Digicape for over two weeks. Eventually received a bricked phone back and was told it had a motherboard issue?!
My phone never had a mother board issue. It had a battery issue that was tested by Digicape and qualified for the replacement. The repair guy said to me that he’s seen the problem before a couple times!?
I took a perfectly working phone in and received a bricked useless phone in return. Be careful. BE WARNED. Do not take your phone for battery replacement at Digicape.
I’ve since sent in numerous emails to Digicape and the Core Group complaining about this but have not received any response other than I need to replace the motherboard at a cost that is more than a new phone. It’s worse than talking to a wall!
POOR SERVICE.
Thank you for sharing your most unfortunate situation with us. I have escalated the case to the senior management team and I trust someone will reach out to you personally as soon as they have a some time to investigate.
