Cancellation of Upgrade - cannot locate package with handsets a month later!!!

Good morning, on 19th September 2017 we received a phone call from the number ********** 555 at 19.30. The gentleman, Graham, claiming that he phones from MTN, due to our upgrade being Dec 2017 we can get a early upgrade. During the conversation, I've put him on speaker phone so that my wife and myself can hear him and ask him questions, Graham offered us a upgrade which include new handsets plus a wireless keyboard for a lower monthly premium. During the conversation my wife and I asked Graham several times that we will receive new handsets at a lower monthly premium, Graham confirmed it and on that basis we accepted the upgrade. When our new monthly packadge been uploaded we realised that we actual receiving a lower, half of our normal package, amount we normally receive. My wife phone Summer Mobile and spoke to John Dlamini and highlighted that this "upgrade" is actual a down grade, after a conversation John confirmed he will listen to the recording. He did phone my wife back and claim that we agreed to the upgrade which my wife did not dispute, however we agreed to a upgrade consisting of the same data and airtime plus handsets as confirmed by Graham. John said he will listen to the recording again, but this time get someone who can understand Afrikaans better due to the conversation took place in Afrikaans. John came back again and said that they can find no fault on behalf of Graham and will forward us the recording, he also did confirm we can cancel the upgrade. My wife ask him to forward the recording, I will listen to it and then revert back to him. After not receiving the recording, I phoned Summer Mobile at ********** 600. I spoke to Kate, Vilikasi (twice) and Vincent to cancel the contract, these phone call were appening weekly, unfortunatley John was not available everytime I phoned. Due to the fact that the handsets not being delivered I was told that we need to wait for the handsets to return to the warehouse before such a upgrade can be cancelled. Today I spoke to Vilikasi again, she confirm that she forward the request if the handsets did arrive back at the warehouse but the package (handsets) cannot be traced, I was given a number of ********** 474 to contact the warehouse, this number is just ringing. Today's technology allow any parcel to be traced, especially cellphones. So a month later the upgrade has not been cancelled because they cannot locate the package, which is unexceptable!! We do not want to be bound by a "upgrade" for three years which is actual a down grade. I did give Vilikasi until 12 today to forward me a confirmation of cancelation, before I will escalate this complaint.

Good afternoon. After all the above phone calls to cancel the "Upgrade" as per this range of telephone calls and posts, I received a SMS this morning @ 11.25 am from DSV that they have a package from MTN to be delivered to us. I contacted your branch and spoke to Vilikasi, first she explain the same that a mail was escalated to MTN Warehouse and that they cannot track the parcel. I however gave her the information as per the SMS I received, it was then that Vilikasi confirm that she could see that the parcel is at DSV. Vilikasi gave me the O/N ********** 292 upon which I contacted DSV on ********** 599 and spoke to Sihle. Sihle confirmed the parcel, I stopped the parcel being delivered. Sihle confirmed that DSV will wait for a email or confirmation from Summer Mobile and/or MTN to return the handsets to MTN warehouse, the shocking part is that the parcel/handsets were only delivered to DSV this morning!! After all the phone calls and posts, claiming that the contract cannot be cancelled because the parcel cannot be traced - only to find out it was only delivered this morning!! It is clear now that we did not receive the handsets/parcel, that the handsets/parcel was the whole time at MTN warehouse which indicates the incompetency of the warehouse personal. Thus in our view that this matter is solved, we do not have the handsets and the matter is now between Summer Mobile & MTN Warehouse & DSV to get the parcel back to the rightful owner. Vilikasi also phoned me at 12.19 am to confirm that she escalated another email to MTN Warehouse and DSV, she went even further to phone DSV and cancel the deliver to our address, thus it is now clear that we can be relieved from the upgrade. We will not accept ANY further responsibility on the return of the handset to MTN warehouse with the possibility that MTN warehouse can claim again that they cannot trace the parcel or received it back from DSV. We except that the contract is cancelled and that we will receive a notification of cancellation of the upgrade not later than Monday the 6th October.

Good afternoon, it is clear that you do not understand! We WILL not depend on the incompetency to confirm that they receive the parcel back from DSV, they could not even confirmed that they did not sent out the parcel for a whole month - thus the delay not cancelling the upgrade. Thus we will stop payment on all payments related to the upgrade unless the contract reverted back to the normal package we had before your company started this whole unfortunate experience!!! As I said we expect cancellation the latest on Monday 6th November 2017.

As I stated in my new post, we traced the handsets with DSV and notified your branch and MTN that the handsets are back at MTN JHB. I spoke to Vincent last week Thursday who confirmed that John is also aware that the handsets are back at MTN JHB. We have two options know OR you send us a cancellation order before Friday the 24 Nov 2017 and we convert back to our old contract OR we will report this transaction to the National Consumer Board and the Local news papers in WCape. I want to assure you we will make sure that we publish the most ****ing report we can if we don't convert back to our old contract.
