Policy claim that has not been paid out

My husband passed away 10 months ago and the claim is not even near finalized. For the past 5 weeks I have been hearing the same excuse that the can't get through to Old Mutual who is the underwriter of all of their policies, how is that possible? I am sick and tired of hearing they know where I am coming from, for they are not fami**** with my circumstances. All of my things are at a standstill and I think this is really a way to drive the people who are left behind, insane, who gave to pay for everything who has to a household to run. Never in my wildest dreams have I thought that this would happen when we took out these policies. I would not recommend anyone to consider taking out any life policies with this company. Never!
