Quick, caring funeral claim
I recently filed a claim on my Different Life funeral policy, and the process was handled quickly and with real care. I logged the claim and received the claim form the same morning, and sent my documents that evening. There was a mismatch on the policy in how the relationship to the deceased was recorded, which could easily have held things up. Instead of sending it back to me, Palesa Mo***eng went the extra step of listening to the recording of my original sign-up call, confirmed the correct details, and resolved it in the background. By the next afternoon, she had confirmed everything was in order and sent the claim for approval. The payout reflected in my account within three business days of submitting my documents. Palesa was clear, kept me updated at each stage, and was kind and respectful throughout at a very difficult time. When you're arranging a funeral, a claim that goes smoothly takes a real weight off. Awesome service!
I had a chat with the Different Life team today, and they were absolutely fabulous. They helped me resolve a billing issue quickly and made the whole process so easy and stress-free. We even had a good laugh and shared a few jokes, which may or may not have involved pizza 🤣. It was such a fun, friendly and surprisingly memorable conversation. It is not often that dealing with a billing issue turns into such a pleasant experience! Their service was excellent, their premiums are very affordable, and I truly felt heard and valued as a client. Thank you to the Different Life team for your kindness, patience and wonderful service. Good Day I would just like to give Different life the compliment of saying well done. From the first phone call your company have treated my self and my husband more than a friend usually companies treat clients as a number however once you start your policy with different life you become part of the family. I've recently had our premium go off on my account twice due to some changes I made and let me tell you their manager Tshepo is just a joy to work with he is so kind and understanding and assisted me so fantasticaly you guys can be proud Thank you for everything

Hi I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service and compassion shown by Refilwe Tlome. I recently lost my grandmother, who was like a second mother to me. The period from April to June has been incredibly difficult, both emotionally and financially. As a result, I missed my May premium payment and explained to Refilwe that I was experiencing financial challenges at the time. I requested the opportunity to make payment later in the month when I was in a better position to do so. What stood out to me was the kindness and understanding Refilwe showed throughout the process. When the debit order failed, she still arranged for the debit to run on 25 June, allowing me to catch up on both my May and June premiums. At no point did she rush me, pressure me, or make me feel guilty about my situation. This was a completely different experience from what I have often encountered with collections departments. Refilwe demonstrated something that seems increasingly rare today: genuine compassion and an understanding that life happens. She treated me like a person rather than just an account number. Employees like Refilwe are a tremendous asset to any organisation. Her professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help have left a lasting impression on me. In fact, the experience has made me admire Different Life Insurance as a company because it appears to value meaningful human connections and making a positive impact, rather than simply focusing on collecting money.
