Beware free online registration for a few free news articles by Die Zeit Online… You may THINK it's free, and the first few items are. But... pretty soon they simply start billing you...

No, when registering for the free articles you DON'T give your credit card number! (- which is the usual way to pay for services online, as a few billion internet users would know…) These people simply bill you (to the address you gave to register for the free articles). A lovely little surprise…

Yes, I did call them to explain how the internet generally works: you HAVE to give your credit card details if you want to subscribe-with-payment to something. They were simply not interested: This is how WE work, I was told.

Can anyone blame me for feeling like I have been taken for a marketing ride?
