My daughter went to Roodepoort department of home affair this morning to apply for a child birth certificate. She was told to go and apply at Limpopo because the baby was born there. You can visit any Department of Home Affairs office countrywide to register the birth or request a certificate, as long as you have the required documents. Required Documentation: You will need to present your ID, the other parent's ID (if applicable), and the original hospital proof of birth (DHA 24/PB).
