Randburg Clinic School - Special need children without electricity

If there were an option for no star rating at all this would have been my selection for sure. I am very disappointed with the Department of Education, since last week Monday 22.7.2019 Randburg Clinic school for special need children has been without electricity due to the Government not paying the bills. 23.7.2019 - Parents has been informed to please come and fetch the children from the hostile as they are without electricity : can not take a warm bath, no food to be warmed up ect. We were informed that the school will keep us posted and when there is electricity again we can bring the children back that need to stay in the hostile for various reasons from parents all over.

26.7.2019 - I have been in contact with the staff and were informed that there is still no electricity meaning the children will not be able to return to school/hostile.

28.7.2019 - I have informed that I will not be able to travel daily to Randburg from Pretoria to drop off my son and pick him up again - 216 km (daily) with 4 - 6 hours on the road and repeat the next day.

29.7.2019 - After several attempt to get hold of Khosi Mokgapa (sms also send 29.7.2019 12:51 to be in contact with me) via telephone I have contacted the department in Johannesburg again and the number of Mr P Swart has been given to me. I have spoken to him at 13:07 where he informed me that the bill has been paid on Friday 26.7.2019 and that the power should be restored Monday 29.7.2019, latest Tuesday 30.7.2019 (week later).

30.7.2019 - At 11:46 we have confirmed again if the power has been restored and were informed no. Once again I have been in contact with Mr P Swart via whats app at 12:22 where I have asked him what is going on and that our special need children are losing a lot of work and he told me Monday 29.7.2019 that the bill has been paid - his response at 12:24 has been that they have referred it to Head office and that there is nothing they can do further - good luck. At 12:16 I have mailed the following people regarding the problem: ***,***, ***, ***, ***, ***, ***, *** *** - Mrs Hester Costa were the only one responding on my mail at 13:01 : Ms Laubscher, It is indeed a situation that negatively impacts on learning. Everything is being done to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Once the status is back to normal, a catch-up plan will be put in place. So many parents has jumped in to sort this problem out - newspapers, social media the works but there is just no attention given to this problem and our children are suffering at the moment due to a lack of service to innocent children.

31.7.2019 - 9:41 We have once again been informed that there is no electricity - not even the day scholars can benefits as they need to eat cold food, work in the dark, the staff on property are also inconvenienced due to the lack of payment on the bill

1.8.2019 - 8:08 Once again confirmation received that there is no electricity at the school. Monday 5.8.2019 this will be for two weeks that our children will not be able to attend school, they have special needs and will have to catch up on their work.

IS THIS AT ALL FAIR TO ANY CHILD???????????? WE AS PARENTS DEMAND ANSWERS NOW????????????????????????
