Urgent Assistance Required for Birth Certificate Issue

Dear sir/ madam

I'm writing to request your urgent assistance with a birth certificate issue that has been ongoing since 2022. Despite numerous visits to the Germiston Home Affairs office, I've been unable to obtain my birth certificate.

Background:

In 2008, I was taken to Lesotho as a baby, and I don't have any information about how I crossed the border. The person who took me to Lesotho was my grandmother passed away in 2022. I arrived in South Africa in December 2021, and my mother began the process of obtaining my birth certificate in 2022.

Challenges:

During the interview process, I was asked about my early life, and I provided incorrect information due to my young age at the time. The Home Affairs office requested various documents, including:

- Notice of birth - Death certificate for my grandmother - Marriage certificate for my mother's parents - my mother's ID - school later - school report

We provided all the required documents, but the office still refused to assist me. They also declined our request for a DNA test to confirm my identity.

And It affected my education when I would sacrifice time to go to home affairs now and then it affected my performance at school because I would sacrifice my school days going to home affairs.

Current Situation:

I'm now in a critical situation, as I'll be entering my final year of high school in 2025 and need my ID to receive my statement. I'm worried that if this issue isn't resolved soon, it will negatively impact my education and future opportunities.

Request for Assistance:

I kindly request your urgent assistance in resolving this matter. I would appreciate any guidance or support you can provide to help me obtain my birth certificate.
