Grade 1 Application still pending

<p>I made an academic application on the 20th of April 2016 for my son for Grade 1. I called the school to enquire about my sons application and I was told the results have been submitted to the Department of Education to publish but to date (5 months later) the application status is still pending and when I call the Department of Education, I am taken from pillar to post, I donnot get someone to assist me. We are approcahing October and the year is only left with 2 months to next year, if my son's application is not successful, what am I supposed to do?</p> <p>The system was enforced on us with no alternative solution and right now it is definately failing us. I want to start buying uniform but for which school?<br />What is the department's plan because clearly with no doubt that the system is not succefully. I am stressed and really tired of calling the Department without any assistance. Can the department of education tell us what is the solution going forth, because I forsee my son not having a school next year. How do you force people to use a system that was not tested?</p>
