False accusation ,defamation of character

Today I went to Thabeng Primary School to pay Grade R graduation for my child,i paid the outstanding balance which was R500 after paying i recieved the receipt,then after that the Clerk (Sophia) went to the Graduation ceremony and exposed us calling us *******,they said i did'nt pay claiming that the child won't go to the trip on Saturday,we wanted the cctv footage the Principal said we can't, we must go to the police and open the case...Suddenly they called telling us that they have fixed the matter,they'll pay that money...i am so dissapointed i was not treated well and now im scared of how my child will be treated after that.im not happy at all.no one has apologised or anything .now they called my brother saying everything is sorted
