Failed by the Gauteng department Benoni district offer of high school placement for 2024 grade 8

It with great sadness that I app**** for schools on the 15 June 2023 during the opening of online applications for schools of my daughter’s choice ( Hoerskool Jeugland in Kempton Park after attending all open days especially the first choice of school among the other options Edenvale High School and Hoerskool Kempton Park ) which are within 30km - 40 Km within our area. The disappointment comes in yesterday where her high school feeder zone which was stated by the principal of that high school during open day when he was calling the names of the primary schools that are within the area and feeder zone to the school she was not accepted which is literally 2.8 km walk from where we stay I would not have to worry about transportation cost she will just walk to school as she currently is. And she’s not accepted after 2 months of waiting being told that the school has reached full capacity yet pupils from her school from far out and Tembisa and some more than 2.8 km close to the school where being accepted and she would come home every week from the 4th of September telling me her school mates have been given offers and accepted offers by their parents as all of them are eager and excited wanting to know which high schools they going next year. I am a single parent with 3 children under my care I was hoping being closer to home it will ease my financial stress of transport and concentrate on paying her high school expenses none of the schools accepted her, 1st choice closer to home which accepted people from tembisa township and other surrounding areas and we literally stay in Muisvoel Avenue Klyenbosch Complex closer to her current primary school and the high school in question Hoerskool Jeugland in Van Riebeeck Kempton Park where I even personally went in July to submit and verify the application documents required by the school and have a receipt in my capacity to show that I was verified she’s not accepted. Unfortunately some of us can’t afford private schools and they are far out in my area I am so disappointed by the Gauteng Education Department online application and Benoni district after spending money to print and submitting documentation for waiting for school offer of placement I didn’t get any.
