I am very disappointed at how the Department of Education in Potchefstroom was discriminating towards my sister. Her daughter was rejected at central primary school apparently because of space. She and a few other people laid complaints about the issue at the departmental office in Potch. Other people were assisted by Ms Yssel with letters of admission for their children but my sister has not been assisted instead she was told by Ms Yssel and her PA (Desiree) to take the child to another school. What makes me more Disappointed is that some of the people who got admission letters laid a complaint after my sister but they were assisted before her. My niece is supposed to start Grade 1 there it really hurts because it feels like a punishment of some sort. It seems like they do not care that the child should be at school. My sister has been fighting till today for her daughter to go to central Primary school.
