Department of Western Cape high school selection

I am really dissatisfied with the Western Cape Department's selection criteria. They ought to take the kids' transportation, distance, and safety into account as well, in my opinion. My children are currently attending Highbury Primary, a school adjacent to Soneike High School, yet they are not taken into consideration at Soneike High School, even though I app**** for them there as soon as the applications were open. Kids that were rejected who app**** AFTER me have now been accepted and mine are not why. Since I'm a single mom, I have no way of getting them to other schools, yet Soneike won't take them. Must children not attend school anymore? Do they really take into account the circumstances at home, or do they just put the kids wherever they want? I'm appealing their judgment and demanding an explanation.
