Department of no Basic Education

My son was supposed to start grade 8 this year and was not placed. After visiting the offices in Kuilsrivier and numerous emails, I decide to contact the office of the MEC. Till this day I have not been assisted. My son is currently still at home and the second term is about to start.

It seems that for all the talk about children in our country needing basis education, the department is all talk and no action. I can unfortunately not afford private schooling and my wife and I both work full time so home schooling is not an option.
