Department of Education preventing teachers getting their booster shots!

Department of Education. Are they the culprits??

Well, I finally have some answers as to why so many teachers cannot get their booster vaccinations. The reason being that teachers were registered under the Department of Education and now, SIX MONTHS LATER, this has still not been done by the “officials” who were supposed to get this done. This tardiness will now lead to many, many teachers returning to schools without their registrations being updated onto the EVDS system and not being eligible for their booster shots. What is going on with our internal departmental systems? You cannot call the Education Department, you get no answers from Sisonke. Business for South Africa has tried to help, but they cannot do anything about the matter either. You call the presidential hotline (no answers there) also ENCA, the DA leader and Hello Peter, to NO AVAIL. Teachers’ details appear on the internal system that the vaccination sites use, it is ALL there, but because the necessary information was not updated by the Education Department, we, the teachers cannot get our booster shots. No wonder we are in the situation we are currently in and why our vaccination numbers are probably incorrect. Slackness and just pure laziness by the education officials???? A plea that you please GET THINGS DONE so that we can return to our jobs and do not cause any further interference with our children’s education.
