I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my unresolved matriculation certificate issue which has persisted since 2010, despite numerous attempts to resolve it with the Department of Education.

I wrote my matric at DDT Jabavu in 2010. However, I was later informed that my records did not reflect that I had written the exams. For years I went up and down trying to resolve this matter, even visiting the offices in person. In 2013, my sister contacted Mr. Nene in Pretoria who assisted us in reaching the Eastern Cape Department. I was finally issued a statement of results reflecting that I had failed two subjects.

In 2016, I upgraded my matric and passed the outstanding subjects. However, I have not been able to combine my results to obtain a full matric certificate because the 2013 statement has disappeared from the system. This has left me stuck for the past 15 years.

This issue has caused me severe frustration and hardship. Every time I apply for a better job, I am asked for my full matric certificate. I meet the requirements and I have the skills, but because I cannot provide the combined certificate, I am continuously rejected. My life has been on hold, and I feel that I am being punished for an administrative error beyond my control.

I am therefore requesting urgent intervention from the Department to: 1. Investigate and trace my 2013 statement of results. 2. Assist me in combining my results with my 2016 upgrade. 3. Issue my full matric certificate without any further delays.

I have carried this burden for far too long, and the lack of resolution has directly affected my future and livelihood. I trust that this complaint will be taken seriously and handled with the urgency it deserves.

I am ready to provide all supporting documents, including my ID, previous statements, and the 2016 upgrade results.
