Covid -19 Brigade

Good morning

I am a covid brigade at Naturena Primary school no.2. I signed a contract with the GDE on the 04th of September and reported to work on the 8th of September.

I would like to lay a complaint with the Department of Education regarding delays on our payment. My contract stated that I'll be receiving my payment on the last day of every month. I received one payment since I've started working. The department has been making empty promises and making excuses with regard to our delayed payment. I use transport to get to and from work, if I had to stay home due to not receiving my stipend would be an issue.

There are various numbers we were told to communicate with but we are not getting a response. It's either we are blocked or no response at all. Here are the numbers we had to communicate with: Programme manager, Ms Dineo Phehla ***/ ***/ ***

Your assistance will be highly appreciated because we have responsibilities. We are treated like we are nothing and theres lack of communication.
