Child suspended because of school pants

A child was suspended because the school pants that he was using was altered because there was no size that fitted him, so we bought a big size pants which was taken to a professional machinist who altered the pants to the right size. The school had a problem with that a the child was suspended until he comes back with a new pants. We went around Durban looking for the 'right' size which we didn't get, we had to go to Pitermaritzburg to look for it and that where we were luck to get a size after a whole the child is not going to school losing out on school because of this which we don't understand at all what was wrong with the pants and there was no proper explanation given to us. We thought teachers go to school to educate our children not to scrutinise pants that's been sewed.
