Bursaries are not allocated to foreign children, even if it is on the basis of merits

Good day.

I am in desperate need of your help. I fear that there is a high possibility that I will not go to university and that my funds will be given to someone else on the basis of my nationality.

I was born in South Africa, at the age of 17 I was still undocumented. I tried applying for an ID, but I was rejected. Eventually I made a passport that states that I was born in Malawi, which is not true, but I did so because I did not have a choice. I am not ashamed of who I am. I am proud of who I am.

However, the government keeps on rejecting us and giving away our opportunities to others just because we are not legal citizens. We work and study, twice as hard. We sacrifice a lot to achieve what we want to achieve with the hopes that the government will assist us.

We are declined merit bursaries, which is absurd because merit bursaries should be based on merit but however when it comes to us the requirements are based on nationality.

Please help me tell my story. I know I am not, neither will I be the last. People like me are at home, not knowing what they can do because the only chance that they had to further their education was snatched from them.
