Benoni Department of Education No assistance for admission of pupil

The department of education in Benoni. I went more them 3 times to get assistance. I went to the offices last year after relocating to Kempton Park area. No assistance as the school did inform me of the online process. I did not get any assistance. Went to the offices this year more then 3 times only to be rudely told “ then go to a private school “ by an official who blatantly refused to identify themselves. Almost the end of the month of January my child is still at home today 29 January I was given a contact of a woman *** whose number rang with no answer when she did she nonchalantly told me she doesn’t know what to do and how to assist me. I have been back and forth polar to post. I am very appalled by the service provided as it felt like they didn’t care about their work. I am very disappointed as there was a number of ppl there. I and my family are frustrated our hands are tied with no place to go and a child missing out on a curriculum. The system is not working especially in my case were I went early I was told to wait for December which the dates were changed told wait for mid December 2023. And on the system there were no schools in or close to my area closest was in Jhb North 40km away. The department of education Benoni has failed me. With its officials and who are rude, arrogant and disrespectful when I asked questions or for assistance. This needs to change as it’s an indication of deeper rooted problems within the public education system.
