Ammended National Senior Certificate

y name is Craig Jody Jacobs. I'm 25 years of age and I'm currently unemployed.

I live with my younger brother and mother in Bishop Lavis, Western Cape. My parents got divorced in 2010 and since then I've had to fill the shoes as man of the house.

I did matric in 2009 at Cravenby S.S and unfortunately did not meet the minimum requirement for the National Senior Certificate as I failed Mathematics and Physical Sciences.

I then decided to work to support my family and was happy with earning minimum wage in order to do so.

I've gained relevant experience as an assistant with DSTV technician, Auto-Electrical assistant and call centre operator in Customer Services.

In 2015 I registered to complete my NSC for the exam in June 2015, I then proceeded to swap Mathematics for Mathematical Literacy as I found it as a much easier way for me to obtain a Bachelor Pass in order to be accepted at a tertiary institution as I do have aspirations of furthering my education.

I successfully wrote my exam in June/July of 2015 and obtained a pass mark. A statement of results was then issued and I then proceeded to have my results from 2009 and 2015 combined so that a NSC would be issued to myself.

I have been fortunate enough to have been employed at companies that did not need grade 12 as an essential requirement, hence why it has never been as big of an issue as it is now, but by October I'll be 26 and life is becoming harder and so is the cost of living and the current income is just not good enough.

I feel hard done by the events of my past, as learners we were always encouraged and advised that failing matric is not the end of the world which is 100% true because it isn't but right now I feel trapped in my past.

I can't further my education, I get rejected from top companies because my education can't be verified.

I need help!

I've been in contact with various people within the education system and I honestly feel as if I'm just being passed from pillar to post.

I don't just need a certificate but also for my information to be updated on the system, as I would like to register for B.Ed for 2018.

Please assist.
