Poor Communication and No Regard for People’s Time

I app**** for a unit through this agent and responded promptly when he contacted me with a question. After hearing nothing for 10 days, he eventually contacted me asking whether I was still interested. I asked whether there were other candidates still interested, and he told me there were not.

We proceeded with the viewing, which went well. When I asked what the next steps would be, I was then told that the unit was no longer available. This was extremely disappointing, particularly because I had cancelled a lease with another agent based on the impression that I qualified and that, provided I followed the required procedure, I would be able to secure the unit. And on top of that I waited for hours for a response!

I called him afterwards because I was understandably extremely unhappy with the situation. During that conversation, he asked when I would like to move in and said he would email the owner and get back to me as soon as possible. Days have now passed, and I have still received no response.

The lack of communication and the way this entire process was handled has been incredibly disappointing and, quite frankly, unacceptable. I understand that circumstances can change and that an application does not guarantee a property, but clear and timely communication is the bare minimum, especially when someone’s housing arrangements are involved.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with this company to carefully research their experiences and reviews beforehand. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling completely disregarded and extremely disappointed in the level of service I received. Based on other reviews, it’s clear that this is not an isolated experience. Similar complaints have been made by other people, yet there appears to be no effort from their side to improve or address the issues. The repeated disregard for people’s time, communication and circumstances is extremely disappointing and says a lot about the way they treat applicants.
