De'Longhi Prima Donna total waste of money

We bought a De'Longhi Prima Donna coffee machine in 2017. In the first year it was at Blomeyers in Pietermaritzburg three times because of a steam issue, which they did not fix at all. Today, 17 September 2019, almost exactly two years after buying the machine, it went '****' and now it's dead. At over R10000 for the machine, you would expect it to last at least 5 years. And not have any issues in the first year. We cleaned and descaled it regularly, and made peace with the fact that our milk weren't always steamed to taste. But I am really unhappy that such an expensive machine does not last longer than an electric kettle (which is still going strong after 10 years).
