Beware Delonghi coffee machine - Milk Jugs

Anyone with a Delonghi coffee machine knows they make a great cup of coffee. I have the Magnifico Pronto ESAM 4500. A major selling point is the one touch cappuccino. You touch one button and sit back as it makes you a cappuccino.<br> <br> For this to happen though you need a milk jug, which comes with the machine. A few points on the milk jug:<br> <br> 1. Its not covered by any guarantee/warranty. So when it breaks after 2 months, you are on your own.<br> 2. You cant just go to the shop and buy a milk jug. You have to go to Delonghi. R300+ [apparently].<br> 3. I say apparently in point 2 because I haven't actually bought a milk jug. I have phoned them every week for 6 weeks - no stock. No stock = no cappuccino.<br> 4. My milk jug broke in the lid. You cant replace only the lid. I took the lid apart and I saw what broke. Its a little plastic piece with an odd design that looks destined to break. I will be more careful with my next milk jug. That clean button is dangerous. Maybe I wont push it that hard.<br> <br> This is not so much a complaint than an information session so that you don't go 6 weeks without cappuccino like me. Beware the milk jug!
