Bad customer response

Hi, I purchased a kettle just over a year ago from Takealot. Few days after the guarantee (1 year) the kettle started breaking , due to the guarantee being over they advised to contact Delonghi directly which I did via their customer support enquiry. To date I have received no response. Quite disappointed with their lack of service
