Sub-standard product
Inspiron laptop. Keyboard had to be replaced within four months of purchase. Then again four months later. Then the letter "T" rubbed off again and this time the local Dell office told me my query would be sent to legal. Initially they were responsive, and in fairness they sent a technician twice but with such a sub-standard product, they should have replaced the laptop free of charge.
I initially tried to contact Dell customer service - I spoke many times to people in Bangladesh or somewhere, one of whom told me just to use a white marker or put a sticker on the button where the "T" used to be - this within two months of buying the laptop new. I also had email contact with some of them, one of whom scheduled a call with me, and never called me so I wasted my time waiting for a call.
The touchpad also had to be replaced within four months and things still jump when I type - I often find the typing in the line above or ten lines above.
There is a hollow area to the right of the touchpad and when using the touchpad, if my hand touches it, it sounds like an empty container.
The last technician who came to me, *****ed something so tightly to the left of my laptop, that when trying to pull out a flash drive, it ripped it apart.
I have never known such a sub-standard product, and if I didn't have urgent work to do on the laptop after I bought it, I would have returned it immediately. In my opinion, this product is *******, and I regret having spent money and time on it. Two of my friends bought laptops last year and none was a Dell, for good reason.
I will NEVER buy a Dell laptop again. The local office was cooperative to a point, then quite simply began ignoring me, which doesn't make one want to try to resolve issues and perhaps buy a Dell in the future.
Worst piece of technology I have ever purchased.
